Great news! I'm very pleased to announce that I have been invited to participate in "Future Nostalgia," a group exhibition of new works and designs by emerging and mid-career artists that explores themes of romanticism and remembrances of things past. The show is organized and presented by the Fashion Institute of Technology, my alma mater, during the prestigious 29th annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) at Javits Center in New York from May 21 - 24, in booth 3356. I'll be unveiling "Chairs for Hope," my new sculpture masquerading as furniture series which features three individual sculptural designs upholstered with my signature use of geometric printed vintage fabrics highlighted by yellow, the color of hope, into which I cut florals. One of the Chairs for Hope that I've been commissioned to do for the"Future Nostalgia" show at ICFF features manly florals. It's the first time I have ever done that. It is a visual theme and that is something I rarely do. Here's sneak peek.
